In this buying guide we’ve rounded up all the current interchangeable lens cameras costing around 2000 and recommended the best. I feel this thread is going in the right direction for me as you guys been discussing the possibles LX200 and G1X MIII and several features I agree would be awesome to see on them plus also talking about the lenses, sensors, dof of these systems and even bringing other options to the table as small mirrorless and compact lenses etc. The best lenses for beautiful bokeh are portrait lenses such as Nikon 50mm f/1.4, Nikon 85mm f/1.4 and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 that have large maximum apertures and highly optimized optics for portraiture. These capable cameras should be solid and well-built, have both speed and focus for capturing fast action and offer professional-level image quality. It sports a full-frame sensor (1x crop), like a Canon 6D or a Nikon D600, and has a 35mm f/2 Zeiss lens on it. This looks exceptionally nice in portrait photos and adds a unique look to any background. Probably the best 'P&S' (by which I mean a fixed-lens compact camera) today for thin DoF is probably the Sony RX-1. And how the 100mm equivalent 2.8 on Canon G7X MII could also favor for some Bokeh on the longer focal length. Bokeh is the light orbs created by out of focus lights sources. Just can't seem to find anyone reviewing this aspect of these Large Sensor Compact Cameras so I'm unable to understand how the bigger sensor of LX100 or Canon G1X MII would really push for results compared to 1" sensors. Obviously nice to have any other features they throw in the camera but would be happy with any of the cameras I've been reading about as long as it comes with the best possible Bokeh out of the options! The deal breaker for me? Bokeh! As a Portrait Passionate I would really love to have a smaller camera that is still able to produce some acceptable Bokeh. Granted that is already compact compared to a DSLR but with a daughter and everything we need to carry around already, even the mirrorless system becomes a little too much. I want a smaller camera as a carry at all times kind of thing and for lightweight travels when I don't want to take my Fuji X system. Hey guys, really nice to see this discussion here right now that I'm trying to figure out what to do.
